EST purge and trap interfacing

Developments in capillary column and MSD technology  have led to shorter analyses times so a typical 30 minute VOC analysis can now be achieved in 10 minutes. EPA purge and trap methodology however stipulates a complete purge/desorb/bake cycle generally in excess of 20 minutes and becomes the limiting factor in sample throughput. EST has deveolped 2 interfacing systems that significantly increase throughput for both soils and waters analyses. The interfaces provide faster cycle times while using conventional purge and trap parameters so laboratories can be more productive without sacrificing instrument conditions.

PT2 interface

Increase throughput by 100% on a single GC or GCMS

Add a single concentrator and PT2 to a current VOC system to increase throughput by 100%

Can be used with both soils and soils/waters autosamplers with complete system synchronisation

Use single or dual GC calibration curve

 Multiple configuration options:

  • Interface one concentrator to two concentrators to one GC to increase throughput
  • Interface two autosamplers to two concentrators to one GC to additionally increase sample numbers
