MMR rotor
The MMR rotor is a device for conveniently heating materials in a microwave field under controlled vacuum conditions. When connected to an external vacuum supply (VAC-1000 or VAC-2000 modules), and depending on the specific configuration, the rotor can be used for vacuum assisted sarnple drying, acid removal, volume reduction, and solvent evaporation.
The rotor is a specially engineered fixture for accommodating either 8 or 12 microwave vessels. When inserted into the rotor, each vessel fits snugly into an adapter which seals the vessel for maximum vacuum or positive pressure applications. An adjustable valve with in-line filter provides positive air flow (from either the atmosphere or from an external inert gas supply), to assist and speed up the evaporation process. Each vessel is isolated from the others, so there is no cross contamination. All rotor materials in contact with samples are made from TFM. Samples are processed in a clean, inert environment. The unique design provides an idea1 platform for predigestion of large quantities of organic materials in near atmospheric conditions, followed by closed vessel digestion at elevated temperature

VAC-1000
Efficient use of a microwave labstation for volume reduction requires a safe and reliable source of vacuum. The VAC-1000 module meets every criteria for these demanding applications. A high performance, full PTFE vacuum pump, draws evaporated acid vapours where they are efficiently recovered in a water cooled condenser. Any remaining vapours pass through a high capacity, acid neutralisation module. Designed for safety and durability, the system is completely enclosed with key modules clearly visible and with a rninimum of vacuum connections. The VAC-1000 module is a high performance system that integrates a vacuum pump, a water cooled condenser and a neutralizing module to completely neutralise and/or recover acid vapors. It is the perfect complement to the MMR rotors for volume reduction and/or acid removal from digestate samples in Milestone's Microwave Labstations

VAC-2000
The VAC-2000 module is a high performance system that integrates a vacuum pump, a water cooled condenser and a pressurised module to completely recover organic solvents. It is the perfect complement to Milestone's MMR rotors for volume reduction and solvent recovery. A high performance, PTFE vacuum pump draws evaporated solvent vapours through the VAC-2000 module where they are efficiently condensed and collected in a water cooled, glass condenser. Any remaining vapours are compressed to increase the boiling point. This feature allows almost 100% solvent recovery. Designed for safety and durability, the system is completely enclosed with key modules clearly visible and with a minimum of vacuum connections
